On the 8th of March 2008 Polish Government made up a decision about creation of Pomeranian Special Economic Zone (PSEZ) on the territory belonging to TZMO SA. For the first time in history, the Economic Zone has been created on private land. After less than three months when first permission was given to operate on the PSEZ Plastica Ltd. started to build infrastructure.
At the beginning of the 2015 the whole territory of Plastica has been given permission to operate on the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone where new investments will take place.
At the moment on the territory of PSEZ there are five factories:
- Hygienic Business Unit, where hygienic devices are produced under Seni, Happy, Bella brands
- Medical Business Unit, where the production of medical sets under Matopat brand takes place and their sterilization by means of ethylene oxide and steam occurs
- Packaging and Recyclate Business Unit where flexible packaging is produced for the products of TZMO SA brands. This unit is also innovative flexographic printing house and unique on the global scale process of plastics recycling
- Medical Packaging Unit responsible for production of packages for sterilization of medical devices as well as printing and packaging of medical devices
- Films and Laminates Business Unit where we produce permeable and perforated films and laminates dedicated for hygienic, medical, building and clothing industry.
The Economic Zone means not only dynamic development of the company but also new places of work and an opportunity for the local business. Plastica Ltd. employs over 1400 people. The new investment will contribute to further economic growth and the decrease of the unemployment rate on the territory of Kowalewo Pomorskie. Expansion of the factory continues.
