There are two gas chromatographs in the QC Plastica Ltd. department that are equipped with machines designed to both qualitative and quantitative reporting of ethylene oxide and ethylene chlorohydrine in the medical devices after sterilization. The first chromatograph - Clarius 500 by PerkinElmer - company with the flame ionization detector, is connected on-line to the Turbomatrix HeadSpace 40 sampler which enables the analyzing above ground stage of the medical device. The above analytic set allows EO reporting at the level of a few nanograms in the medical device. The second gas chromatograph - Clarius 500 by PerkinElmer - with the electron capture detector is designed to perform the qualitative and quantitative analysis of ethylene chlohydrine. The application of a selective detector for compounds showing electron affinity makes it possible to report ECH on the level of a few nanograms.
The application of above chromatographic sets enables us to to control the medical deviced after sterilization as they arise and safely let the devices meeting PN-EN ISO 10993-7 from 2009 norm requirements be sold.
